A sweet wine that pays tribute to history
Late harvest is an ancient technique: in ancient Rome, the harvest could even last until after the ides of October thus obtaining a dense and fortified wine. Today over-ripening of Gewürztraminer on the vine causes the sugars and flavours to concentrate giving the wine an extraordinary sensory intensity, ideal at the end of a meal or for moments when we want to treat ourselves to a little pleasure.
Our Kar.Ares bears the name of the Roman furnace discovered during excavations near our cantina, an era in which wine was already at the centre of commerce and the life of society.
