Quaranta Jugheri

A “jughero” (jugerum) was an area of land that could be ploughed in a single day using a plough pulled by two oxen. Henty of Bohemia granted as many as 40 jugheri to a group of vassals in what is now Piana Rotaliana to create a vineyard close to an oak forest called “Aichholz” in German. It was 1327, the dawn of the town of Roverè della Luna, as well as our vineyards.

It is to these 40 jugheri that we have dedicated our collection of wines of excellence that aims to interpret the four great local grape varieties used to make it in complex, elegant and timeless versions.
