Cantina Roverè della Luna Aichholz is a wine cooperative with a shareholding of 270 contributing farms: with their daily work in the vineyards, they are the foundations as well as the primary driving force of the company.
The cooperative is managed by a Board of seven administrators and represented, since 2015, by President Diego Coller.
Winemaker Corrado Gallo is the responsible general director, assisted by winemaker Carlo Alberto Gasperi, who takes care of the winemaking and aging of wines, as well as by the agricultural expert Oliviero Sandri, who follows the agronomic aspect of production, with criteria based on health and sustainability.
The wine cooperative was founded by 24 sighted vine growers of Roverè della Luna in 1919, immediately after WWI.
The first location was in Salorno, next to the railway station.
Subsequently, in 1953, it was moved to the village of Roverè della Luna, near those members who had supported with sacrifice, during such difficult times, the activity of the winery.
A modern structure was opened in 2001 to meet the needs of an increased shareholding, next to the historic headquarters of 4 November St., which gave renovated impulse to the production.
It is there, in the basement under the hall of steel tanks, where Lagrein, Teroldego and Pinot reserves are aged in oak barrels.
